About me
Hello, I'm Mrudula, founder of The Isai Academy.
Originally from South India, I moved to the UK in 2021 and now call Doncaster, South Yorkshire home. Professionally, I am a qualified CMA and part-qualified Chartered Accountant, and I run Million Goals, a financial coaching and consultancy business that helps UK business owners build strong financial systems and make confident decisions. In 2025, I was honoured & recognised as Runner-Up at the Doncaster Business Awards.Alongside my professional career, music has been a lifelong passion. I began learning Indian classical music at the age of five and have dedicated more than 25+ years to learning, practising, and performing carnatic and Kannada light music. Trained under the guidance of Guru Smt. Namratha Prasad and Smt. Latha Garu, I have had the privilege of performing on numerous stages across India, both as a solo artist and as part of ensemble productions.My musical journey also includes over five years of teaching experience in India, where I taught Kannada light music to students of varying ages and abilities. Through teaching, I discovered my passion for helping others build confidence, develop musical understanding, and experience the joy of singing.In 2026, I founded The Isai Academy - Indian Music Lessons in South Yorkshire, UK, to bring structured Indian music literacy to children and adults in the UK. My mission is simple: to make Indian music accessible, enjoyable, and approachable for everyone. I believe that anyone can learn to sing with the right guidance, encouragement, and foundation.Through online music lessons via The Isai Academy, I aim to nurture not only Indian musical skills but also confidence, creativity, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for the rich heritage of Indian classical music.Page updated
